We were able to find a place to stay during peak season at a reasonable price. the dorm mates were friendly and quiet, and the location was convenient for exploring the town.
The staff seemed unprofessional and unhelpful. We had some trouble checking in and felt like we were being blamed for not notifying them of our earlier arrival time.

My stay at Alpine Lodge Backpackers was great. The location was excellent, with everything I needed within walking distance. The lady who checked me in was super friendly and helpful, providing me with all the information I needed. The room was small but perfect, and the kitchen and bathroom were clean. I also appreciated the free parking. Despite a few minor issues with the bathroom, like loose tap handles and a shower curtain that could use a wash, I still had a comfortable stay. I would recommend Alpine Lodge Backpackers for a couple of days in Queenstown.

I had an excellent stay in this hotel, which is located really close to the center of town. The location is perfect as it’s easy to find parking, and it's just a short walk to the supermarket and the start of all the activities and restaurants. Additionally, this hotel is very clean, and the facilities are great, including a common area that can be quite social. The breakfast and staff were also fantastic.
Nothing to be said.

This backpacker's location is conveniently located close to the town center and grocery store. the street was closed due to roadworks, making parking limited. the public areas were clean, especially the sunny reading area upstairs, but the carpet in the rooms was stained, and the 4-point plug only had one working input.
The staff member's behavior towards guests was unacceptable, especially the platinum blonde girl who was rude, made inappropriate comments, and swore at guests for no reason.

Conveniently located for exploring the area and offered affordable rates. The clean and quiet kitchen was a nice surprise, as well as the cozy common area with a log burner.
The toilet paper was extremely thin and the bed uncomfortable. The reception staff was often rude and unprofessional, which significantly detracted from the overall experience.

We had a great stay at Alpine Lodge Backpackers. The hostel had a friendly and cosy atmosphere, with a fireplace and communal living room for watching movies. The kitchen was well-equipped and our room was just right, despite being near the communal areas. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and within walking distance to the Central Business Area. The other guests were friendly and polite, making our stay enjoyable. Hamish, the host, was approachable and hardworking. a tranquil and pleasant experience.
